This is a new page that I'm really excited about! Debbie Towne and I have collaborated for years at the same school and at the University of California, San Diego in the Reading Specialist certification program. She's an innovative teacher researcher and stepped into my job as the Language Arts Specialist at my old school and she's doing a terrific job! I will be adding many of the materials that she has created over the years, especially in the area of Primary Writers Workshop (she's an expert!), Student Led Conferencing, Reading Racers, and much, much more! You'll love her things and ask for more!

Reading Racers
Please note that the kindergarten word lists have been taken from two sources: Fountas and Pinnell and the Houghton Mifflin Reading Series and the first grade list comes specifically from Houghton Mifflin. If you would like a special list for your student population, please let me know and I'll try to accommodate your needs. Just send me your list at carl1404@msn.com or ask for a blank template so that you can make your own.
